My Background

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and a graduate of City University’s Master’s in Counselling Program. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent fifteen years in the non-profit and social services sectors, working with diverse populations and supporting people facing significant mental health challenges and life adversity.

Most recently, I’ve worked as an in-person crisis responder with individuals and families facing sudden and unexpected life challenges. I’ve also supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, poverty, workplace challenges, substance use, relationship issues, and grief and loss.

I love exploring the limits of human potential, from emerging developments in neurobiology to ancient traditional wisdom. Whether you seek healing from distressing life events, living more fully in the present moment, forging deeper connections, or growing into a greater version of yourself, I am here for all of it.

My personal passions include music, creativity, and being active in nature. On my days off, you can find me rollerskating, running by the Alouette River, or spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I am also involved in human rights and social justice causes.

My Counselling Approach

Humans are multi-dimensional beings, and I work from an integrative approach that draws upon cognitive, behavioural, emotional, and somatic modalities, depending on the presenting concerns and what approaches are most suitable for each client’s needs. I believe in listening to the combined wisdom of our bodies, minds, hearts, and spirits, living in alignment with our needs, boundaries, values, and dreams, and balancing our innate drives to heal, grow, and change with accepting ourselves in the present moment.

In addition to my Master’s in Counselling, I have taken training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic modalities, as well as courses on anxiety, neurodiversity, psychopharmacology, anger management, and grief and loss.

I also offer counselling for couples and am trained in the Gottman Method, one of the most evidence-based and widely respected approaches to relationship therapy, helping partners enhance communication, strengthen emotional connection, and rebuild trust.
