Session Rates
At Counsel Me Vancouver, we are committed to providing high-quality counselling services that are both accessible and affordable. Our fees align with the recommended guidelines set by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW), the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA).
Are Our Services Included in Your Benefits Plan? Most Likely!
If you’re new to benefits, here’s a quick overview: benefits are insurance plans provided by companies such as Manulife, Desjardins, Green Shield, Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife, Canada Life, and others. Employers commonly offer benefits to their employees, but individuals can also purchase them independently. Some insurers even allow us to bill them directly, saving you from paying out of pocket. Since every plan is unique, it’s essential to review yours to understand the specific coverage and limits. Click to discover how direct billing works.
Do You Have a Benefits Plan?
If you do, there’s a good chance our services are covered! We specialize in counselling and psychotherapy, provided by:
- Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs)
- Registered Professional Counsellors (RPCs)
Feel free to explore our team of RCCs and RPCs to find the right match for your needs.
Can We Handle Insurance Billing for You?
In many cases, yes!
We offer direct billing, where we submit claims to your insurer and receive payments directly, so you don’t have to pay upfront. To verify if your insurance allows this, consult our list of supported providers or contact us for assistance. To set up direct billing, please email info@counselmevancouver.com with the following details:
- Your insurer’s name
- Your policy number
- Your membership or certificate ID
Important Notes About Direct Billing
While most insurers support direct billing for counselling and psychotherapy, some—like Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife, and Canada Life—don’t allow us to bill on your behalf. These plans still cover services provided by RCCs and RPCs, but you’ll need to pay upfront and submit your receipt for reimbursement. We can walk you through on how to do this.

Counselling is a smart investment in yourself
From time to time, we reward ourselves with a treat-a cup of coffee, a new electronic gadget, a massage, perhaps a new watch or clothing. However, we often forget the importance of our mental well-being. Consider rewarding your inner life and budgeting some of this money for counselling. There is no better, long-term investment than improving the quality of your life-your health, well-being, and relationships. Counselling can help alleviate problems before they take physical, mental, and financial tolls. Make your mental health a priority and improve your quality of life.
How to make a Payment
We offer direct billing to your extended health benefits provider. Payment can be made at the beginning or end of each session by credit card, eTransfer, check, or cash. You can pay per individual session or buy a session package to save on some of the cost.
