Counselling Approach

In my practice, I strive to provide a therapeutic approach that caters specifically to the concerns, needs, and learning styles of each individual or couple I work with. Drawing from my extensive training and experience, my primary approach combines the Gottman Method with an Emotion Focused/Process Experiential approach, which I have found to be incredibly effective in helping people gain a deep understanding of their emotional challenges and fostering meaningful change and personal growth.

As a counsellor, my clinical approach encompasses a diverse range of techniques derived from Gottman, Emotion Focused, Gestalt, Process Experiential, Interpersonal, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies. This eclectic integration allows me to adapt my methods to suit the unique requirements and preferences of my clients, ensuring a tailored and impactful counselling experience.

Continuing professional development is a vital aspect of my practice. I actively engage in ongoing research and pursue further education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the counselling field. By remaining informed about current research and evidence-based interventions, I can offer my clients the highest standard of care and incorporate the most effective therapeutic techniques into their treatment.

I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and client empowerment. I actively involve my clients in the therapeutic process, fostering a collaborative relationship where we work together to explore their concerns from a deeper and more informed perspective. By providing research-based insights and encouraging clients to examine their struggles within a broader context, I help them discover new meanings and develop effective strategies to tackle personal challenges. Through this collaborative approach, I aim to create a supportive environment that empowers clients to initiate meaningful changes and overcome obstacles on their path to personal growth and well-being.

In summary, my therapeutic approach is grounded in a diverse array of methodologies, allowing me to provide comprehensive and effective support to my clients. Through my commitment to ongoing professional development, utilization of research-based interventions, and collaborative approach, I strive to guide individuals and couples towards lasting transformation and improved emotional well-being.

Counselling Can Help

There is clear proof that counselling, when skillfully done, can provide the effective tools to speed up the healing process and prevent concerns from re-emerging. Counselling is the professional approach to seek when you’re ready to make a change. Through my practical experiences and work as a counsellor, I’ve come to believe that people have the answers to their personal struggles within themselves. During the process of counselling, research shows that strategies and answers can be uncovered so people learn how to live stronger, more resilient lives.
