My Background

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Victoria, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.

I’m a Burnout, Stress & Life Transition Counsellor

Many of the people I work with are used to being the ones who hold everything together. They are responsible, capable, and often high-achieving — but over time the pressure to keep up with work, relationships, and personal expectations can start to feel overwhelming. You might notice that you’re constantly exhausted, struggling to focus, feeling irritable, or questioning whether you can keep going at the same pace. Even activities that once felt manageable can begin to feel draining. This is often a sign of burnout.

I support individuals who are experiencing burnout, chronic stress, and major life transitions. Together, we work to better understand the patterns that have led to feeling overwhelmed and develop practical strategies to help you regain balance, clarity, and a stronger sense of control in your life.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique experiences. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based approaches to help you manage stress, rebuild emotional resilience, and reconnect with what matters most to you. I also have experience supporting individuals navigating chronic health conditions, disability, and the emotional impact of long-term stress on mental health.

If you’re feeling exhausted, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can provide a supportive space to slow down, gain perspective, and begin making meaningful changes.

Areas of Focus

  • Burnout and workplace stress
  • Anxiety and chronic stress
  • Life transitions and career changes

My Counselling Approach

In my counselling practice, I strive to meet clients where they are, offering a compassionate and non-judgmental space for growth and healing. I encourage clients to share at their own pace and focus on building upon their strengths and personal resources. Together, we take a practical, goal-oriented approach to creating meaningful change—regularly checking in to see what strategies are most effective and adjusting as we go.

I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, with a particular focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT offers practical, actionable tools for managing depression and anxiety, and many clients begin to notice improvements within a short time. From our first sessions, I share tools and techniques designed to increase joy and contentment while reducing stress and anxiety in daily life.

While CBT is the foundation of my work, I also draw from Motivational Interviewing (MI), Positive Psychology, and Exposure Therapy. My approach is flexible and client-led—together, we’ll find what feels right for you and tailor our work to align with your values, strengths, and goals.

Counselling can be a powerful and rewarding process for people from all walks of life. If you’re ready to explore your next steps, I invite you to reach out so we can discuss how I can best support you.
